SPRING SCREAM 2009

If you are going out in Southern Taiwan this weekend then there really is only one place to go. Held on April 3rd to 5th, Spring Scream is Southern Taiwan's largest open air music event. This year the event is expected to attract 200 bands and tens of thousands of party goers. I know the whole SanBa crew will be there.

Last year, I spent half the weekend in bumper to bumper traffic, had my cell phone stolen, got a ridiculous sunburn and it was still the best weekend of the year. Trust me if you have the means get there...

Your options for this year include: The official Spring Scream Party –A wide mix of musical acts and film festivals and other types of performances held on a number of stages throughout the park. Check out previous Spring Scream videos here.

There are also various other unofficial Spring Scream Events. These include all night Trance Raves, Hip-Hop shows and everything else you can imagine.

If you don’t feel like buying an expensive ticket, I heard that Kaohsiung’s very own  Blue Truckers will be playing a show on the rooftop of a restaurant next to 7-11in Nanwan on Saturday.

If you are still in Kaohsiung this weekend you can check out the DC Stage Beach Party on April 4th starting at 9pm. This no cover party will feature: "Wolfgang", "Wounded Night", "Kay the Aquanaut" and special guests "The Tracts"
